Description:
CTS Turbo is proud to announce the release of our BMW S58 G80/G82 M3/M3 Competition/M4/M4 Competition Crossover Pipe.
One area that can benefit from improvement is the exhaust system’s mid pipe design. The G80/G82 M3 and M4 utilize a Y-style mid pipe, with both downpipes located on the right side of the engine.
The left side downpipe connects to a “crossover” pipe that runs beneath the transmission and links up with the mid pipes on the left side. Unfortunately, the stock shape of the crossover pipe is oval to create enough clearance underneath the transmission. This alteration from a round tube to an oval causes turbulence within the pipe, leading to a restriction in exhaust flow.
We have developed a replacement crossover pipe that retains the round shape, eliminating the turbulence and restriction caused by the oval design. By doing so, we expect to significantly increase horsepower and torque, enhancing overall performance.
